The Pipsqueak Engine

The pipsqueak engine is an air-powered engine I made for my manufacturing class at BYU. In making the engine, I learned how to better design for manufacturing, use a mill and lathe, how to aluminum and sand cast, how to manufacture to meet certain tolerances, and how to create manufacturing process sheets.

The pipsqueak engine features an intake valve, which pumps pressurized air through a piston, causing the piston to pump up and down (similar to a locomotive, which in turn spins a flywheel).
